Kathy Wolfe Moore grew up in the St. Peter Neighborhood of Kansas City and is a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County. Today, Rep. Wolfe Moore and her husband, Ken Moore, live in Piper. Rep. Wolfe Moore has lived in the 36th Kansas House District for more than 30 years. A dedicated fighter for the cause of mental health, Kathy is excited for the opportunity to serve

Outside of the Legislature, Kathy is the Business Director of University of Kansas Hospital (2005 to Present)

As a Business Director for The University of Kansas Hospital, Rep. Wolfe Moore sees first-hand the number of job openings available in the field of health care. These jobs can be filled with Kansans only if we have a first-class education system.

As a member of the House Appropriations and House Tax Committees, Rep. Wolfe Moore has been a strong advocate of fairly and responsibly funding public education in Kansas to encourage and promote job creation and a stronger economy in the short- and long-term future, both as a state and in Wyandotte County.

Accomplishments

  • Only one of 2 people in the nation to receive the 2018 National Council for Behavioral Health Excellence in Advocacy by an Elected Official Award
  • 2012 & 2014 Association of Community Mental Health Center of Kansas Inc. Public Official of the Year Award
  • Honorary member of the Kansas State Council of Firefighters Association in appreciation of her work on behalf of this group
  • 2016 Distinguished Service Award from Friends of Yates in appreciation of her work on behalf of victims of domestic violence
  • 2016 Interhab Legislative Champion Award in recognition of her work on behalf of Kansans with developmental disabilities
  • The University of Kansas Cancer Center 2017 Director’s Award
  • Kansas Children’s Service League 2018 Hall of Fame Award for Distinguished Service to Children
  • 2016 Wyandot Inc. Community Partner Award for Outstanding Support of RSI
  • 2014 NAMI Award for Legislative Excellence
