Professional Background


Kathy is running for re-election after serving five terms in the Kansas House of Representatives. Since 2005, she has served as a healthcare administrator for the University of Kansas Hospital.


Prior to this, Kathy served as Chief of Staff to Kansas City, Kansas mayor Carol Marinovich for 10 years. Today in the legislature, she serves as the ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee. For over 20 years, Kathy has been at the forefront of advocating for Wyandotte County families, schools and businesses.



Kathy has been married to her husband, Ken, for 21 years. She has three daughters; Emily, Juliana and Katie Wolfe.
